70's chopper style

So I'm going total old school on this one. No front brake, rear drum, big bars, raked like a motherfucker. I never liked choppers till found the true meaning of choppers. You see I'm not old enough to have seen the real choppers from the 60's and 70's. So the only thing I know about is the gay shit the orange county choppers puts out and etc....Someone had told me about a movie called choppertown, I was skeptical about it cause it wasn't my scene, but then it became my gas that got my motor running. I read a lot of street chopper magazine and that is also a big inspiration. See I don't believe in have a motorcycle that you don't ride. to me whats the point. Im into the shit you can ride, I don't even care if its an old classic that shouldn't be touched, If its mine I'm going to ride it. So this is going to be my old school bike.....

Two seater now

So I decided to put a sissy bar and back seat on El Chingon. My chick wanted to go for a ride and sitting on a fender isnt very comfortable. I had a P-pad I had bought off ebay about six months ago just in case. Had a fender a buddy gave me sitting around, and the sissy bar was obtained when I got the two sportys. I can honestly say that I think she looks better with a back seat and a sissy bar. The real funny thing is, its a more comfortable ride with someone on the back..

New projects

So here are the two new projects added to the collection. Two old sportys, both kickers. One will be a raked out chopper when its done, the other will be a bad ass little bobber/bar hopper(for a good friend on mine). Got these from the guy who sold me my first harley sportster. Hes a pretty cool and generous guy who hooked me up cause he likes what im into. He dosent really deal with the sportys, but  he builds some pretty bad ass pan heads though. Got some work ahead of me.......

body work

AHHHHH the joys of body work. So a buddy of mine asked me to fill some holes on his fenders. Sounds easier than it actually is. So finally started to use bondo and welding a little. Its harder than it looks. So got the holes patched up with some 1/8" steel pieces I made. Joe has been teaching me how to weld and use bondo the right way. Oh and here is my first real weld that i have done so far. BODY WORK SUCKS but its worth it...... primer tomorrow.

Best tools ever

So i broke down there other night.........FFFFUUUUCCKKK!!!! I was riding out to me friends house in Helmet CA. Got about half way there going up hill and all of a sudden no power, bike shut off. i was like oh shit did I run out of gas again!!! Cause I ran out like a month ago like a dumbass, had to push my bike into the nearest parking lot. Anyways It was about 1 in the morning and cold as shit. and the bike shut off and i coasted to the side of the road, thinking what the fuck now. you see most people dont realize when you build a custom bobber/chopper you gotta pay attention to the small details(which i thought i did). so im there on the side of the road checking the gas(plenty), checking the key (and its fine). Lights are all working so its not the battery. I was up hill so i turned the bike around and tried to jump start it, no luck. Figured it had to be electrical. So i got out the most important tools that i own.... My iphone and my Leathermans tool. Used my phone for the light on it and the lethermans for everything else. searching around the bike in the pitch black and found one of my ground wires to my ignition module came off the starter. Used a nut from somewhere else, cross-threaded it on there bump started her and i was on my way........

Biltwell whiskey throttle

So i just got my new throttle in the mail today. This thing is the shit!!! I bought two throttles, first one piece of shit, second one more of a piece of shit, and the stock one is big, bulky  and lame.Got it from a company called Biltwell Inc. I have known about this company for a while and bought there hustler helmet(very comfy by the way). and Now I got my new throttle. My old ones kept sticking and not snapping back fucking annoying!!! especially when your riding down the freeway and you want to slow down. So I spent the $100 bucks and it rules ass. Too bad its raining and I cant use it right now.......

Gas Tank Massacre!!!!!!!!!!

So I realized that i had to put a gas tank on the KZ. looking around on ebay found a lot of good gas tanks but I keep putting it off. what can i say im a cheap ass sometimes. and I love the idea that I can build things with a vision. so I was pondering in my garage the other day, and saw the old giant shitty gas tank from the sportster. pretty much have hated that gas tank ever since that thing came home. and it was the first thing that I pulled off the sporty. so there it was sitting there dirty and looking dumb hahahahah. decided to cut it in half.......

The small details

Working on the CB750 the last couple of days. fabricated some gussets for the foot platforms. had to make these triangles  out of some 1/8'' steel plates. shaping the inside so the have a good fit to the frame for support. don't want people eating shit on there bikes cause some shoemaker didn't pay attention to details ahahahahaha....

Rigid Customs

Here are some randoms today from the shop. its pretty awesome that i can get schooling all day long and not have to pay for it. Joe lets me grace him with my presents daily. Its nice being able to go to a shop where I get my education for free. Its one of the best rewards someone like me can ask for. Its funny I grew up in this area, and moved away and never realized that I would be doing something that makes me so happy right where I grew up. I get to learn how to work on hot rods motorcycles and what ever projects Joe has going on. like I said Joe can build anything. Today I was sanding down an old chevelle and grinding down some holes that were welded up on an old fifties truck frame that's in the shop right now. I dont get payed there and I dont really care at this point. I do it in my spare time but I treat it as if it was my second job. Because lets face it, you cant get this kind of schooling anywhere. I get to see so many things all in the same day. Im just fortunate enough to have a good friend like joe to guide me along the way.  decicded to take some pictures today here they are.

The last of my sportbikes and the Turk

Number 4 and 5, were both GSX-R 600cc race bikes. I got soooo into riding the track for about half a year that I had to go all the way. Thats pretty much how I do everything in life. "go big or go home". So I got my first 600 from a good friend "The Turk". One of my best friends i have met through riding trackdays. Hes the founder of one of the biggest trackday organizations in the nation (Tracktactics.org). He was the one who taught me how to really ride my motorcycle. he took me to trackdays all the time and made me a part of his organiztion. Thanks Turk!! Very generous person and such a big heart. Most people never really understand him, but there is nothing that guy cant do, if he says hes gonna do it he will. i watched his dream become a reality right in front of my eyes. everyone would talk all the shit they wanted but he would always treat people with respect(even the shit talkers). He never let anyone tell him it wouldnt work cause he would make it happen, Thanks for the inspiration Turk.

Number 3

Number 3, well after riding a 1000cc i had to have one. went down to the local shop just to check them out and left with a new CBR1000rr(ooopps) Yup got a brand new bike like a Dumbass. oh well we live we learn. anyway started going a lot faster, A LOT FASTER!!!! was doing a ton of canyon rides. Telling myself everytime i went out on that thing"anything can happen". kinda reminds myself what im getting into every time i get on a bike. Me and my best friend would go out every Sunday to Palomar mountain hitting up the twisties. Then the day came...... I went down. Thrashed my bike thrashed some leathers. I was fine but my ego was damaged, hahahaha. at that point i knew it was time to stop riding canyons and take it to the track.

Number 2

Number 2, my 2003 ZX636 sweet bike!!! fast fun as hell had it for about 8 months. this is the one that taught me how to ride. Did a ton of canyon rides on the weekends. till the day my buddy nick decided to show me the world of the 1000CC. HOLLY SHIT!!!! 2005 GSX-R 1000CC that fucker would move. nose coming off the ground every time i pulled that throttle.

The ones that started it all

So here are the ones that started it for me. First my 2001 ZX6r. Never been on a street bike before this one got it for $3500 and i was the happiest fucker on earth. I was terrified of the thing. heavy as shit and the fastest thing i had ever been on. knew right then and there I was hooked. all the times i wanted a scooter i always told myself " no its too dangerous ill kill myself". I would always make excuses to myself to not get one and buy some other dumb shit like bmx bikes mountain bikes whatever would scratch the itch for the moment. But it always came back to the one thing fucking Motorcycles!!!! Well three weeks later sold it. all of a sudden I wanted something faster and fuel injected.
